Brendan became hooked on CrossFit 7 years ago, walking into a gym to be greeted by “Fran”.

A former NSW Police Detective Senior Constable, training, competing and fitness has always been a part of his life having played Rugby Union at a high level and working within the personal security industry for high profile clients throughout Europe and the United States, he has always had to maintain a high level of fitness.

Brendan is a Dad to two boys, has three step kids and a little one on the way with his life and business partner Vicki Webber. Together they own Steel Coast Crossfit in Newcastle and are your modern day Crossfit Brady Bunch.

It’s time for Vicki to carry Brendan’s Comp bag whilst she’s busy growing their little human, Brendan will compete, flying the Masters HQ flag as an individual Master at the upcoming Torian Pro.

When Brendan isn’t coaching at Steel Coast you will find him working his other full time job as a Tug Boat Captain on Newcastle Harbour.

Brendan is very excited to be a part of the Masters HQ team and is looking forward to meeting each and every one of you.

Dion is a two times Games athlete placing 3rd, and then, in 2018, 5th in his age division. Together they have won the CrossFit Worldwide Team Series Comp for the last 2 years and the last 2 PanPac Masters Games.

They are the owners and coaches of CrossFit Kanga Rocks!
Cherise and Dion welcome any questions or suggestions regarding the HQ series and look forward to hosting some sneaky training sessions prior to the big final events!

The 2019 QLD Semi Final was held at CrossFit Kanga Rocks and was a huge success,

My CrossFit journey began. Back in 2015 doing a few session with a mate in a home gym. Before joining a box.
That buzz was alive.
I went into Partnership and we our own box. MesoMorph CrossFit. Which has now been in operation since Feb 2017. The community feel and Atmosphere amazing. That being said we had an opportunity to purchase a second premises at Magill so we did CrossFit Ironmill
The diverse range of people that walk through our doors puts a smile on my face everyday. To watch individuals evolve to better versions of them self’s. What more could anyone ask for.
I’m in my mid 30’s with a Beautiful wife and 3 Kids. 10, 8, 4.
Although the Kids make me feel like I’m 56.
I also work full Time as a Project manager for a commercial joinery company.

Renee is a mother of 2 wonderful kids and Supportive husband, I have been CrossFitting for 6 years and Strongman for 4. I found CrossFit in Western Australia, where I lived for 7 years; but now returned to the motherland to share my knowledge and love of Health and Fitness with my family, childhood friends and communities that I surrounded myself with for most my life.Currently Personal Training/ Coaching and Training myself out of my own Studio “Tribal Phoenix”, with plans to open a Functional Fitness/ Strongman Training Centre in the Hutt Valley (Wellington) Region.I am a competitive person and still believe I have a long road ahead of myself – Dreams of “The Games” and “Strongwoman Titles” still very much alive within my soul.Last year I enjoyed my MastersHQ experience, making it all the way to the world final in Brisbane and competing against some amazing and talented athletes, all the while making loads of great friends. I cant wait to do it all again and this time with NEW ZEALAND on the back on my top

Everywhere Sarah goes she leaves her own special in print. Sarah’s vibe and the energy she gives out is amazing and you can not help but want to be in her space.
MastersHQ is looking forward to having Sarah build and lead our NT Masters community
Please take a minute to read about this amazing lady!
My name is Sarah and I am a proud mum of 2 amazing little humans and a dog mum of 4
Always been into fitness and sports. I grew up competing with horses and did this all around Australia.
I started my CrossFit journey a year or so after my daughter was born.
Having 1 year off during that time due to some major operations.
Before long I started coaching and fell in love with it. Having the opportunity to help so many people change their lives was unlike anything else.
My journey in this sport has recently led me to a new venture. Last month I opened a new CrossFit gym – Crossfit Kickass with Sam.
Training around working full time, 2 kids and a husband who is a firefighter shift worker can be challenging but incredibly rewarding. It gives me a fire in my belly that keeps me going through this crazy busy world we live in.
I do believe I am built for comfort not speed!!!!
A bit about my competitive background.
I am an ambassador for Fittest Mums.
I have competed in the Aussie Throwdown 2 years in a row now placing 2nd 2019 and 1st 2020.
I competed in NZ for the Fittest Mum finals in 2020, taking home a 2nd place finish.
In 2021 I made the finals again but Covid-19 restricted me from traveling to compete.
MastersHQ 2020 I finished 5th which earned me a spot to compete for Australia on the AFFF Masters National team
I can’t wait to support and help build our awesome masters community in Darwin and the whole of NT.

Glen is from one of MastersHQ’s original supporting boxes CrossFit Agema.

We would like to send a special shout out and thank you to Travis Dawe for the time he has spent taking care of Tasmania.

Have a read below to learn more about Glen.

Hey everyone just wanted to share a few words so you know more about me:

I’m a passionate, upbeat and carefree individual that is always looking for the positive in any situation and constantly looking for opportunities to challenge my limits. I love tons of banter along the way.

I love being a dad and have two of the most incredibly awesome young girls that put my fitness to the test (smashing out their first CrossFit event this year at age 11 and 9 and winning the spirit award).
I’m husband to the most patient wife in the world, she is my rock, training partner and Queen.

I’m a registered nurse by trade with a focus on Chronic Disease and Palliative Care and manage an aged care facility in beautiful Tassie.
To top it all off, I’m also a coach and train alongside some of the most remarkable coaches I know at CrossFit Agema in Launceston. I have been lucky to train and compete in the Masters field for some time now (the grey hairs in my beard will show that) and had my first taste of the big league with the 2019 AFFF finals in Logan Queensland, so I’m truly hooked.

With all of this, I have a unique perspective into the Masters world. I know the importance of living life, maintaining good health, overcoming life’s challenges and demands that come as we get older and bolder. I know what is needed to be strong and fit as we age.

Thanks for having me onboard and I look forward to supporting the journey, building the Tassie community and rocking it with the Masters.

Glen Williams
